1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the RouteCheck website, the RouteCheck diagnostic application, and the RouteCheck certification and verification services (together, the “Services”). By purchasing a test code, downloading or running the diagnostic application, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. The Services

RouteCheck provides automated hardware diagnostic testing for computers, and issues certificates recording the results of those tests. Certificates are stored in the RouteCheck verification database and can be viewed publicly by serial number or certificate reference.

3. Test Codes and Licences

  • One-off test codes are single-use: each code entitles you to run the diagnostic and publish one certificate for one device.
  • A code is only consumed when a certificate is published. Running a test, retesting, or closing the application without publishing does not use up your code.
  • Codes are non-transferable and expire 30 days after issue unless stated otherwise at purchase.
  • Organisation licences are governed by the plan agreed with RouteCheck and may not be shared outside the licensed organisation.

4. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout. Because a test code is a digital product delivered immediately by email, refunds are only available where the code has not been used, in accordance with your statutory rights. 5. Nature of Diagnostic Results

RouteCheck diagnostic reports and certificates are generated from automated hardware tests and are provided for informational purposes only. They reflect the condition of the device at the time of testing. They do not constitute a warranty, guarantee, or insurance of device condition, performance, or future reliability. A certificate is not a substitute for a seller’s own legal obligations to the buyer.

6. Acceptable Use

  • You may not tamper with, falsify, or misrepresent diagnostic results or certificates.
  • You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the diagnostic application except as expressly permitted.
  • You may not use the Services in any way that breaks applicable law or infringes the rights of others.

RouteCheck may revoke certificates or codes obtained or used in breach of these Terms.

7. Certificates and the Verification Database

Published certificates contain hardware information about the tested device (such as serial numbers, component specifications, and test results) and are publicly viewable so that buyers can verify them. By publishing a certificate you confirm you are entitled to test the device and to make this information public. Certificate data is retained to preserve the integrity of the verification record.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, software, trademarks, and branding relating to the Services are owned by or licensed to RouteCheck. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RouteCheck accepts no liability for decisions made based on diagnostic results, for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, or data arising from use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the Services available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the Services for maintenance or updates.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you use the Services applies. Material changes will be indicated by updating the date at the top of this page.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
