Skin PackA Cosmetic Refresh, Made to Fit

Refurbishers use colour-matched skins to refresh a laptop's cosmetics towards a Grade A appearance. Skins cover wear on the surface — they do not repair damage, and they do not guarantee a grade.

Hardware testing remains separate. A Skin Pack changes how a device looks; a RouteCheck diagnostic report shows how it performs. Full pack enquiries are welcome from device owners too.

    Lid Skin

    A colour-matched cover for the outer lid that refreshes scuffed or worn top panels.

    Palm Skin

    Covers the palm rest around the touchpad, where shine and wear show first.

  3. 3

    Layer Keys

    Individual keyboard overlays for worn or shiny keycaps. The correct keyboard layout is required.

    Base Skin

    Refreshes the underside of the device, cut so the vents stay accessible.

    Rubber Feet

    Replacement feet to restore grip and a level stance on the desk.

The finishing touch in refurbishment

A reliable laptop can still look tired after years of use. Colour-matched skins help refurbishers achieve a cleaner, more consistent finish across devices, improving presentation for resale and giving owners a device they can feel proud to use again.

  1. 1. Inspect and prepare

    Check the device for damage, complete any necessary repairs, then clean and dry the surfaces before application. Skins are a cosmetic finish, not a substitute for repair.

  2. 2. Match and apply

    Choose the correct model-specific shapes, colour and keyboard layout. Align each piece with its intended surface and apply according to the supplied fitting instructions.

  3. 3. Check the finish

    Check the edges and alignment, keep vents, ports and moving parts clear, and confirm the feet sit securely. Inspect the finished device against your cosmetic grading policy.
